Description
Synthetic Wax Emulsion
DURAWAX is a waterbased tan milky synthetic wax emulsion that can be applied over bare steel or conversion coatings such as black oxide or phosphates. The film produced is extremely dry and glossy, enhancing the appearance of most surfaces.
Application
DURAWAX provides excellent indoor corrosion protection, exceeding (when used neat) 1008 hours of Humidity Testing according ASTM D-1748. DURAWAX can also function as a dry film lubricant.
DURAWAX should be applied to metal surfaces completely free of oils, acid residues or other foreign materials. It can be applied by dipping or spraying.
Application Temperature: Ambient
Time: 1 – 3 Minutes (Immersion)
Concentration: Full Strength or diluted with water (maximum up to 50%)
DURAWAX films will air dry in a relatively short period of time, but drying can be accelerated with forced hot air or spin drying.
Equipment Tanks may be constructed of mild steel.
